Wat Koo Tao (Goo tao) is located behind the Municipal Stadium (Sanam Gita). It contains a delightful, almost whimsically constructed jedee shaped like five melons. All five are decorated with intricate pieces of colored porcelain.

This marker is in the wrong place - The Sunday Walking Street market is around Thae Pae Road, and on the road extending from the GAte to the Central Police Station (due west of Thae Pae Gate.
Otherwise the post is correct - an excellent place for tourists and locals alike to find some superb handicrafts and other goods. The market starts mid afternoon but really comes to life at 6pm. The market is now so large it spills out onto the adjacent streets.
There are also planty of cafes and food places along this road - great places to hang out with a coffee or lemon iced tea and watch the crowds go by.

The tag "friendliest place in town" is definately incorrect - I passed this place last Saturday night at 9pm and the place was dead; The girls working there were bored out of thier brains and lithargic.
Currently, Number 1 bar advertises itself as Chiang Mai's friendliest - they try darned hard to keep that reputation - at least there staff are friendly, politely welcoming everyone who passes.
The other bars close to Loi Kroh would also all beat this bar for friendliness and customer sttention.
Sorry, the original message is looks as though it was posted by someone who owned or is connected to Nancy Bar and are trying to hype it. In truth, Nancy Bar is an average bar.
